Land measurement in India is confusing
Every Indian state uses a different unit for measuring land Bigha in Rajasthan means something different from Bigha in Uttar Pradesh or Madhya Pradesh. Biswa, Cent, Dismil, Gaj the units change from region to region, and even experienced farmers, land buyers, and property dealers often get confused while converting one unit to another. A wrong conversion can mean a wrong deal, a wrong price, or a wrong measurement of your own land.
I started Land Converter to fix this exact real-world problem. Our goal is simple: give every Indian farmer, landowner, buyer, and surveyor a free, fast, and state-accurate way to convert land units without needing a calculator, a local expert, or guesswork.
What makes us different:
- State-wise accuracy: we don't use one generic formula. Our calculators account for regional variations because Bigha isn't the same everywhere in India.
- Built for real people: our users are farmers checking their land size before selling, buyers verifying a property deal, students converting CGPA to percentage, and professionals converting old Hindi typing fonts (Krutidev, Shree Lipi) to Unicode for daily work.
- No login, no cost, no complexity: just open the tool, enter a value, get your answer.
We keep adding new tools and detailed guides (like our state-wise land conversion articles) because we believe practical problems deserve simple, trustworthy solutions not paywalls or confusing jargon.
